I am a writer, gamer, and psychologist. I make words, and I make those words for education, communication, science, and, of course, fun. I am also a producer, combining all my roles to bring new games to life or to breathe new life into existing ones.
From 2010 to 2017, I worked in gaming for Megara Entertainment. We adapted the world of classic gamebook series to new media. Our releases span iOS games (see The Keep of the Lich-Lord, a part of Fighting Fantasy) to tabletop roleplaying games (see Fabled Lands; Orb: The Role-Playing Game to be added in 2017). I produced Kickstarter campaigns to launch our original gamebook, Arcana Agency: The Thief of Memories, revise and expand The Way of the Tiger, print Lone Wolf – The Board Game (with Greywood Publishing) and expand the existing Fabled Lands series to Fabled Lands: The Serpent King’s Domain.
I have a lifetime history of writing. In the 90’s, I collaborated with friends to form the Lesser Known Gods, a fantasy and comedy universe. We made around 20 short stories available on the internet and developed an online following. In 2004, I performed Quality Assurance for the DVD set of the motion comic Broken Saints, by Budget Monks Productions. I analyzed the 12-hour script for everything from inconsistencies to typos. In academia, I developed my skills in technical writing, computer programming, and teaching (including teaching with writing) across graduate school and postdoctoral research.
I am dedicated to making projects work, whether as the writer creating the text or the producer coordinating all tasks in a whole.
